The Library of the U.S. Courts for the Northern District of
Indiana located in the Robert A. Grant Federal Building in South
Bend serves the research needs of the judges and court staff
in all of the court locations in the district.
The library is open, as a courtesy, to employees of the U.S.
Attorney’s Office, members of the bar of the district and
to other attorneys who have matters pending in the federal courts.
As it is located in a secured area, the library is not open to
the public.
Members of the bar or their authorized staff may use the library
weekdays between 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. After checking in at
the district court clerk’s office, these users will be
directed to the Third Floor North security door where the librarian
will admit them. Members of the bar may only use the collection
in the library. However, a photocopier is available.
